The continuum limit of quantum gravity at second order in perturbation theory

We show that perturbative quantum gravity based on the Einstein-Hilbert action, has a novel continuum limit. The renormalized trajectory emanates from Gaussian fixed point along (marginally) relevant directions but enters diffeomorphism invariant subspace only well below dynamically generated scale. for pure to second order in perturbation theory, and with vanishing cosmological constant, result is same as computed standard quantisation. Although this case renormalizable at kinematic reasons, structure we uncover works general. One possibility genuine consistent limit even though it an infinite number couplings. However also suggest possible non-perturbative mechanism, parabolic properties of these flow equations, which would fix all higher couplings terms Newton's constant constant.
